This is a great Tres Leches cake-delicious and very easy! My 14 year old made it by herself the second time. Everyone has enjoyed it.

The recipe is super sweet. If you're not a fan of extra sweet, then I would try to find unsweetened condensed milk if it's out there, and then add your own powdered sugar to the leches soaking liquid to taste. Also, I added 1/2 tbsp. of ground cardamom to the batter, which was a huge hit. Combined with the cinnamon, it gives the cake a chai flavor. I sprinkled the cinnamon directly onto the cake, rather than over whipped cream, which I didn't use at all except in the soaking liquid. It was delicious both warm and cold, but I wouldn't recommend in between. Also, I used fat free condensed and evaporated milk and it was still excellent.

This is the best cake I've ever made too!! I used a 9x12 disposable foil pan with deep sides so i wouldn't have to invert the cake. I also omitted the liquor and cinnamon and substituted coconut milk for the evaporated milk. topped with cool whip and toasted coconut. very good but the cool whip makes it almost too sweet. i've already made it twice this week and its just something we keep in the fridge and eat off of every night while watching biggest loser. so bad!

This is the best cake I've ever made - hands down!!! My family absolutely loved it. I added some toasted coconut to the top which made it look pretty and added a little crunchy texture.

Awesome cake, I was a little scared to make at first but it was so easy and my family loved it.....I added rum to the leche mixture and it made it even better....I also used a 9x13 dish and decided to leave the cake in the dish and pour the cream over it.....Nice work Marcela

I made this for company last night. Everyone loved it and told me twice! I omitted the Grand Marnier but will try it next time. I decided to leave it in my 9 x 13 pan instead of putting it on a different platter and it worked just fine. I will definitely make this again, soon.
