Marinated Turkey Breast

  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 boneless turkey breast
  • Mix all ingredients of the marinade in a large plastic bag. Place turkey breast in a large plastic bag and marinate in the refrigerator overnight. Remove turkey, and transfer marinade to a small saucepan, bring to a boil. Grill turkey breast, basting with reserved marinade, until the temperature registers 175 to 180 degrees, about 35 to 45 minutes for a 5-pound bird.

  • Transfer turkey to a cutting board and slice crosswise. Arrange slices onto a platter, spoon boiled marinade over the turkey slices.

I tried this recipe with two turkey tenderloins. I used the marinade as specified. I gas grilled them for two minutes on each side on medium. It turned out fantastic. The turkey was very tender and flavorful. Will definitely make this again. item not reviewed by moderator and published
This is a great barbecue dish. Use low salt Soy Sauce to avoid salty after taste but an AWESOME crowd pleaser! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I made this the other night except for one change and got rave reviews from my guests! I mixed all the ingredients but substituted the thyme for rosemary and marinated for 24 hours. I think used my convection roast setting on my oven at 350 for 30 minutes. I removed it when it reached 170 and covered it since it still cooks after it's out of the oven and it was perfectly moist. The marinade although sounds asian with a savory flavor surprisingly turned out quite sweet so next time I think I will use half of the brown sugar. item not reviewed by moderator and published
