Mario doesn't walk on water as another reviewer feels...he too is human as I'm sure he'd agree. I feel as the other reviewer mentioned that it needs either sausage or meatballs, not just plain ordinary ham. This was not interesting nor authentic enough, and being a seasoned cook as well, this could stand that alteration w/o any harm.

I like this pizza rustica the way it is. The flavor is mild and the texture creamy. My family likes it this way. Adding sliced meatball or cooked sausage would not make it moe "Italian". Pizza Rustica is Italian, just ask my Nona.
