How could I cook these if I don't have a pizza stone. I also need time and temperature for this application.

Wow this is good. I iumprovised a little after reading the other comments and added turkey pepperoni and chicken breast shredded, i also added a little onion, red bell, and 1/4 cup raosted tomatoes. it came out divine. I wanted to make manicotti for my son but this might do the trick instead. it was fun and easy to make and clean up.

Where I live everyone who makes calzones does not include ricotta in the ingredients or so little you don't know it's in there. This is the recipe
I was used to in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This is where I really fell in love with them, in fact I don't think
there is a bad one in town!

This may well be a traditional way of making calzone (I didn't see the original show, but even though I made a marinara sauce to go with these, I found the results to be kind of unexciting. The filling needs something to make it more interesting. I wouldn't make this again.

The other day I wanted to try something new, and I found this recipe.
It was great, although I changed the prosciutto for normal ham, everybody loved it.

I've made these several times and each time I use different meats ... depending what's in the refrigerator. Pepperoni adds a zest to it. Also a tablespoon of canned diced tomatoes does nicely.
Everyone I've made them for loves them and wants the recipe. I just use canned pizza dough and cut it into quarters. Works like a charm.
