Sanguinaccio - as made in Italy - is thickened with pig's blood. Ey... that's the "sanguin.." part, use the dictionary.
This may be very good, but authentic it ain't.

Mama isn't with us anymore but we still get together and cook up a storm. We tried to remeber the puddings she used to make, of course nothing was written down, but then I saw this recipe and thought it looked very familiar. We made it one Saturday and all remebered the flavor. So some times between bites we cried, but more often we laughed. All remebering the good times.
We have started watching Mario, and discovered, hey--- He cooks like Mama!!
And from us, it's the highest compliment.
