This was the first Mario recipe I made. It was great. I made it again and lightened it up a bit and my wife liked it much better.

I was afraid for a while that my gnocchi were going to be disasters. Not sure what went wrong, but even after adding WAY more flour than the recipe called for, my dough was still sticky. I guess my potatoes were too wet? I finally gave up trying to get a smooth, dry dough and just boiled pieces of the wet, gloopy mess that I had. To my surprise, they ended up tasting OK. The sauce was really quite good--how could you go wrong with those flavors? If the process had been smoother, I would give this 4 stars. Next time maybe I'll try again with baked potatoes instead of boiled--I've heard that makes better gnocchi anyway.

I have never made a Gnocchi dish before, so I was a little scared...I made this dish and it was The BEST Gnocchi I have ever tasted. I did add a couple of anchovies to the oil to disolve for extra flavor. Thanks Mario for this really good dish.

I was nervous attempting this, seemed a little difficult. This was so flavorful and not to difficult.
