I used prepared Gnocchi from my local store, so it may taste different with the homemade gnocchi from the recipe, but I just wanted something quick and easy to throw together. There wasn't much flavor in this dish aside from the Prosciutto, so I think I would try adding some basil, as suggested in another comment for a little more flavor, or maybe I'll be brave and try the homemade gnocchi next time.

This is the best gnocchi recipe I've tried so far. I used a potato ricer instead of the vegetable mill. My only gripe is that the potato was a little tough in the inside still, and I couldn't get it through the ricer. So I had the boil a few pieces a little longer.
The prosciutto is amazing with the gnocchi. I sauteed the prosciutto, then added some spinach, and finally added the cheese / gnocchi mixture to the pan before serving. The prosciutto with the gnocchi was amazing, tasted like something I would have in a restaurant.

Nice recipe- a real hit with my guests. Next time I will prepare it with 1 tb less butter (3 instead of 4. Also, a high quality bacon makes a good substitute for the prosciutto.

This recipe was pretty easy to throw together since I used prepared Gnocchi that I purchased at mylocal market. I did add some fresh basil at the end and it was pretty nice.
