I mixed up the recipe & wondered what to do with the extra teaspoon of cinnamon. I put the dough in a cool place & decided to look at the reviews of this recipe. I was very surprised to see all of the mistakes the other reviewers were mentioning. I decided to mix up the extra cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, & 1/2 more sugar. I added this mixture to the dough, covered it with plastic wrap & placed it in the refrigerator for a few hours. I baked the logs for 25 to 30 minutes, cooled them shortly, sliced them & baked them the second time. They were delicious. Everyone loved them. I think they'll be great in the fall. Hope this helps.

This was not the at all what I think a biscotti should act like. I increased the sugar as the other post mention and the cooking time. I also added 3/4 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt. But they just spread out flatter on the pan. I still was not able to even lift them let alone try and cut them. So, I turned the oven down to 250 and cooked them that way for 20min. Then I was at least able to cut them and then continue baking them til they got done. Around 30 min.
The taste was good but not worth the hassle. SORRY Mario

I just watched this show and previous raters are correct. There is an error in the cooking time. It should be for 20 minutes the first time in the oven, not 10. Mario also clearly says a whole cup of sugar, not half.

Made with these corrections, this is a decent biscotti recipe, nothing special but it does create something very similar to what I know as biscotti.

I tried a little experiment and added some mini-chocolate chips. YUM!

Terrible--left an aftertaste, the texture is too dense, just a bad experience. I even double checked the directions and ingredients and it was made by the recipe.

Don't waste your time and effort. Give the chocolate hazelnut a try.

Sorry, Mario, but I thought this was a bust. The recipe has several errors - which may or may not be your fault. No way does it cook in 10 minutes, no baking soda or baking powder seems and what's with that extra 1 teaspoon of cinnamon? I really didn't think it had all that much flavor either. I love biscotti and am always looking for some variations, but this one I won't be repeating.

The flavor is good; however, I believe the directions are confusing, as well as incorrect. The biscotti is not done in 10 min. Normal biscotti recipes bake for approx. 30 min. set for 10 min. then sliced and baked 10 more min. In other words, do not follow these directions. What is the extra cinnamon for? I just added more to the recipe.

I'm pretty sure it's just missing one teaspoon of bakingsoda.

This recipe is a bit confusing, starting with the 1 tsp of cinnamon that one isn't given any direction on what to do with... Then, after cooling the dough for the prescribed amount of time, i preheated the oven to 350 and made my logs, popped them into the ove for the stated 10 minutes, but they didn't seem to bake... i figured, okay, i'll cool the oven to 250, slice the logs, and put them in for an addition 5 minutes, but still the dough reamined dough,,, is there a step missing?
