This is delicious and addicting! I didn't have the peppers listed, so I replaced it with at least a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of diced banana peppers. I also leave out the lettuce because I feel it makes it a bit soggy. I also use bagel chips to dip them with. :

My husband always gets excited when he knows I'm going to make this. It's a great "stick to your ribs" appetizer!

My family loved it. I took left overs to work and they loved it. My colleagues suggested I submit it to a teacher contest to get money for our school which the legislature doesn't think we need. I cannot, however, since it is Mary Alice's recipe. But this is VERY good. You need to buy quality deli items, not from the grocery. I went to our local deli w/ the recipe & had him slice what I needed. I also served this w/ crackers and celery sticks along w/ the bread from the bowl. I did not buy the additional hoagie rolls. All was well received

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!..... Made it for a tailgate party and worked out great. I doubled the recipe for 12 peopole and really should have doubled it again. I served it in a dish and had small hoagie rolls to enjoy it with. I could not keep the container full! Everyone was so in love with it, that they now ask me to make it for all parties... My family loves it to and it makes a great summer meal. I added the lettuce just before serving so that it doesn't get soggy. Yummy

This is a great recipe. I had everything ready to go and just before serving to my guests I stirred in the lettuce and cheese. Nothing was soggy or wilted. Huge hit!

This dip is delicious! I made a few changes to suit it to my liking. I skipped the proscuitto, and doubled the ham to a 1/2 lb to substitute, I substituted 2 roasted red peppers instead of the tomato, I omitted the lettuce because it would get soggy or wilted, and I just served it in a container rather than a bread bowl because that gets soggy too. I bought a loaf of Italian bread and cut it into chunks. It was phenominal!! This recipe is a keeper.

Good but not necessarily a dip...we ate it on sandwiches and I think I'd just as soon save the chopping time put those ingredients on a sub.

I subscribe Food Network Magazine and this recipe was in there a while back...I couldn't wait to try but it would have been 2 much for my family so...I waited until a SuperBowl Party and it was a hit (I added a few different cheeses and to keep the bread from getting soggy I put a container in the middle of the bread bowl or loaf that way if you run out of bread you still have the shell I have taken this to other gatherings and same result...PS friends make great guinea pigs!
