Another fantastic recipe from Melissa! I have never made angel food cake and this was a snap. I was going to make shortcake for some strawberries I needed to get rid of but didn't have all the ingredients on hand. I'm so happy I found this recipe as an alternative. The cake is light, sweet and has a wonderful vanilla flavor. This is my new go-to for something sweet without guilt. Now to decide what to make with the leftover yolks.

Thanks, Melissa. I needed to make an angel food cake and didn't have a 10" tube pan. I thought, "Who is the most practical cook?" Melissa d'Arabian! That's who! Thanks for helping me out of another jam.

I love this recipe, made it for the husband. I did however use a teaspoon of Lemon extract and it gave it a different twist to the cake. Will be making this again.

Super easy, great texture, everyone loved. I love this recipe because it is easy, no fat, not too sweet, but also it makes an amount that is just right for a couple of night's desserts for us four. Who knew to blitz the sugar in the spice grinder? I didnt know why I didnt think of it. I just used the food processor, but who wants to clean at least 5 parts of that when you can clean just two with the grinder? I have learned so much with Melissa's show and ideas. Melissa, you really know how to pull a great tasting meal, with out the heavy expense. Thank goodness we have her here on FN!! Ordered the book, cant wait for that either!

Like Zsana, I had never baked angel food cake from scratch before. Saw the show when you baked this and couldn't wait to get the recipe. Made it for the family tonight and although there are only three of us, just a third of the cake remains. We topped it with fresh strawberries and whipped cream and it was fabulous. This recipe will definitely be one I share and pass down to my children. Love ya, Melissa and thanks for all you do!

I have never made angel food cake before. The best part was to me the smell as it baked. My son said it smells like the mall... baked sugar...:
It was easy to put it together, I don't think I beat to eggs long enough and my cake turned out more dense that I think it should have. But will make it again and correct my mistake.
I think Melissa has such great, versatile recipes, that can please anyone in your family, this is one of them.

This worked better for me than the Duncan Hines. It is very good. This is a good recipe for people who can't have cholesterol. Your meals are so good Melissa! i DON'T know what jovannah's problem is. this iis best angel food cake recipe i have ever had or made. You have to really bake a good cake to beat Ina Garten's

This is a great recipe. So simple. I had never tried angel food cake before because most recipes take so many egg whites. I was making ice cream that only used the yolks so I saved the egg whites for this recipe and can not say enough about how great it is. My grandson loved this and wanted to eat all of it. I was lucky to have any left for the strawberries I planned to pair with this wonderful angel food cake. Love Melissa's style with cooking and keeping it simple. Have gotten so many good tips from her. Keep it coming!
