What a great easy recipe. All three of my kids loved it! Since it is healthy we decided that it would be a perfect snack for a hot summer day! Keep up the great work.

This recipe could not be any easier! It was quick, tasty and so refreshing. After "fluffing it with a fork"- I scooped it into fancy Cosmo glasses and it made it look like I worked all day on it. I had been skeptical of the "yogurt sauce" but it was very YUMMY!

Great light dessert Melissa. I look forward to more of your wonderful recipes!

My boys loved this recipe. I did add a bit more maple syrup & cinnamon the second time we had it, but they gobbled it up like it was the best ice cream. What a winning moment - a dessert that is not horrible for them - YEA!

    This is an amazing dessert!

I had 3 kids to contend with- one with a peanut allergy and one who is gluten free. I was having the hardest time finding a dessert that would work with all 3, and by miracle I turned Melissa's show on and saw this!

I couldn't believe it. It was safe for all the kids, healthy and was eaten faster than any ice cream would have been! Not to mention, it was so easy that making it with 3 young kids to watch was very doable!

My boys loved this. My youngest (21 months actually stuck his face in the bowl to eat it. LOL!!! I would have given it 5 stars but my hubby said it was good but not great... although he's not big on sweets. I have to say that this first episode of Ten Dollar Dinners has really exceeded all of my expectations and I expected a lot. I loved everything from the meal and can't wait to see more. Thanks Melissa. :-

This made my stomach hurt...it was too much going on at once...the applesauce was just applesauce and the yogurt just did not go...

My neighbors keep talking about how they need to cut back on the their caloric intake. I had them over for dinner last night and decided to make this granita so they could have something sweet without adding a whole bunch of calories. . The ladies thought is was very tasty and refreshing but the men decided it needed something else so they poured Grand Marnier over it - which wasn't bad! I will make this again but will offer it as an alternative dessert for the ladies.
I believe that Melissa has a great deal to offer the "home cook" and agree that it is a mistake to limit her talents to $10 meals.

My family absolutley loved it! In fact, my husband loved the yogurt sauce so much, he used the extra I made and poured it on top of a bowl of fresh strawberries! Kids all asked for seconds...instead of the ice cream!

Melissa D'Arabian is a new ray of sunshine added to the FoodNetwork. She's a delight to watch and enjoyed her first show on Sunday, August 9th. Went on-line and got most of her recipes and yesterday requested the FoodNetwork to please post the Applesauce Granita, of which you did. Thanks for complying so fast. Can't wait to try it and from the reviews, looks like I can't miss. Can't wait to watch her next show, this coming Sunday, the 16th. Her recipes and spirit will certaily be something to look forward to watching on the FoodNetwork. Thanks.
