The first time we tried this, my husband and I boggled it up like it was candy - fought (politely over the scraps.

It was AMAZING! I was a little scared with all the ingredience, but it was easy and so worth the little effort! My family loved it (2 girls 10 and 7, especially the carrots on top. It was a yummy crunch. Keep the recipes coming Lisa!

I just love the rub for the pork. I like mine a little more spicy so I added some cayenne pepper to it. I was not, however, crazy at all about the barbecue sauce, so now when I make it I just substitute a store bought brand instead. Overall, this is a great way to cook pork.

I made 4 pulled porks for a family bbq and it turned out fantastic. I slow cooked mine since I was taking it to the park I cooked over night. Worked out perfect. Everyone loved the meat and asked for the recipe. I had one niece say she didn't like it. Didn't know if it was the meat or the spice. I don't like hot and this was perfect. Sneaks up from behind but not super hot just a little kick. I don't do spicy so you can adjust if you want it hotter. This bbq goes with it so perfect.

The BBQ sauce was too "ketchupy" for my taste, but the spice rub was really good. I have been cooking pork butt in the crockpot for years with plain old bbq sauce, but the dry rub was a nice touch. It wasn't too spicy, but tasty. You can also use this recipe for pork ribs.

This was excellent and very easy. The meat literally shredded in the crockpot just by stirring with a big spoon after cooking on high for 4 hrs. Loved the bbq sauce one of the best home-made. We actually plan to add more crushed peppers next time as we're hot freaks. The only thing I'll change on the meat next time is to cut the oregano just a little and the salt. We are doing low carb and eat the meat alone so without the bread, the oregano and salt (because of the other seasonings was just a little much. But over all, as is, would very much recommend this receipe. Thanks Melissa! Love your show.

I thought this was great and so easy. I followed the recipe except my store didn't have boneless, so I used a 5 1/2 lb bone in pork shoulder. I cut it up the best that I could and the meat fell off of the bone when it was finished cooking. I cooked this on low for about 8 hours. I wasn't sure if I was going to make the carrot slaw as I didn't think it would matter much, but I decided to at the end and we loved it. It is a fantastic compliment to the pork. I saw the other comments about this being too spicy, but I didn't think so at all. This is definitely worth a try.
