I loved this recipe! Took recommendation of others & didn't add any water to recipe at all.
Bought a marinara sauce with artichokes (never had em before and added extra 1/2 lb ground beef along with pepperoni. Topped with extra cheese (never had cheddar on Lasagna either
I LOVED IT!!!!
Next time I might decrease the cinnamon though the next day I didn't notice it as much.
I LOVED IT!!!!!

After reading the other reviews on here about this recipe I omited the water in the marinera sauce and at the bottom of the casserole. We like thicker sauce anyway and I added more sauce then she called for in this recipe. She had 20 oz jar and I happened to have a 32 oz jar already at home so I used that instead. It was a really good dish. The only other tip I might add is be very careful of the nutmeg which she pointed out as well because it could overpower the other flavors. We have tried several of her recipes and not sure why blazedog has such a hate for her because many of her dishes have been wonderful!

Found the end result to be a rather runny lasagna that had to be left in the oven beyond the stated cooking time in order to allow for some of the excess moisture to evaporate. While this was somewhat successful, the lasagna seems to be too moist. I would question the need of the 1/4 cup water in the base of the pan.
The flavor was quite good and after a night in the refrigerator I expect it to set up a bit firmer and should be good for left overs the next night or two. I will likely do this recipe again but will eliminate the 1/4 cup water on the bottom and will lighten up on the bechamel. Not to mention the fact that I did NOT add the extra water that was suggested to rinse out the marinara!
Overall an average to good tasting lasagna which needs a few tweaks to conquer the moisture excess.

I love the idea of adding cheddar cheese to the lasagne. This looks like an outstanding recipe. I like that it is slightly different than the usual ones.
