I adore this recipe and often pair it with pita chips, baby carrots, and cucumber slices for a healthy snack or meal. I did cut back on the white wine vinegar and lemon juice by about half since the tanginess was a little overwhelming.

Super easy and quite good! I didn't have white wine vinegar, so I substituted red wine vinegar instead. I've never tried hummus before, this was a good place to start. My husband, 2 year old, and I gobbled it down with tortilla chips.

Fabulous, easy recipe! Great with blue corn chips. Have the recipe handy when you serve it...it's ALWAYS requested. Love Melissa's show and recipes!

I had a little baggie of leftover black beans in the fridge that's been staring at me for a few days...Decided to try this recipe to use them up. OMG This stuff is so good. I adjusted the recipe to suit 1/2 cup beans, and substituted lime juice instead of lemon since that's all I had. It's fantastic. Poor hubby doesn't even get to try it because I just ate it all!

My husband doesn't like hummus but he loved this. I like the combination of vinegar and lemon juice - I think they balance each other. It had just the right amount of tang for the lettuce and for tortilla chips. It seemed just a bit too tangy for other veggies I tried it with so I'll cut back just a tad on the lemon juice and vinegar if I serve with other veggies in the future.

Very good! I used pinto beans because that's all I had, and I cut down on the oil by about half and used water instead because I'm always trying to cut out calories where I can. It was so good! If you like tangy, this is good.
