Made this yesterday and it was great. Flavorful, inexpensive, and easy. Served with taco chips and vegetables. What could be better!

Made this for "the big game" and everyone loved it! I served it with whole wheat melba toast and garnished with tomatoes, onion and cilantro. So yummy and healthy!

I always have black beans on hand and decided to try this. It was so easy and tasted great. Next time, I'll try lime instead of the lemon.

This is a wonderful dip recipe. We served with tortilla chips and baguette slices. It tastes wonderful even before the 15 minute "flavor marriage" rest. I will be making this again

Melissa made this look so good, I just had to try it. I had to make a couple of substitutions because I didn't have lemons or white wine vinegar. So I used a lime and balsamic vinegar. It really is surprisingly delicious! I served it with carrot sticks instead of lettuce.
I hope Melissa does more bean recipes because they are so economical and satisfying. She's so down-to-earth and she's got some great tips. I always learn something new.

Easy, tasty, cheap, and healthy. I watched the show, too, and she said specifically to not worry about overprocessing the hummus because you want the beans to be velvety smooth. What she stressed to NOT over-process was the tapenade in the Tuna Tapenade recipe on the same show.

I don't like hummus, but this was delish. Prob more of a dip..
Anywho she says not to worry about over processing because you want the beans to be velvety smooth. So make sure you pulse long enough. The iceburg lettuce is just perfection.
Thanks!
