I made the recipe exactly as written, with one exception: I didn't have any tomato paste, so I just used ketchup instead. They came out AWESOME - oh. my. God. Delicious and SO EASY! This is a total no-brainer. I got 3 1/2 lbs of those ribs for less than $6, and the mire poix cost like a quarter for the whole batch, less than a dollar, anyhow. A couple tablespoons of ketchup and about 15 minutes to put it all together before just letting the braise do the work - I will definitely make these again. And again. And again! Thanks Melissa!

i made this last week. and lets say, its in the oven and slow cooker RIGHT NOW as i type! i made all 3 dishes and my whole family ate. even my little brothers who are picky. it was so good. they thought the polenta was creamy mashed potatoes. ha. i told them it was polenta but they were already hooked so they didnt care. such as easy side! this time i'm making it with the variety pack of pork chops/ribs. i'm sure it will just as good. the country style were very fatty. i'm rather spend the extra bucks for leaner meat. so yummy. my new favorite family dinner. haven't found one i LOVED in a while. this is worth it!

I made these ribs for the first time today. I followed the recipe exactly as it was written. Which was very easy to follow. The ribs turned out EXCELLENT! I have always made ribs either BBQ or for New Years with sauerkraut. Now I have a 3rd option. They tasted great on this cold snowy day we are having. I did not make the polenta portion however. We chose to have baked beans, dinner rolls and home fried potatoes with ours. In any event, I would most certainly recommend this recipe. I got my ribs on sale and with the other side dishes, we kept the cost under $10.00 and being laid off, that is a money saver. Thanks, Melissa!

I followed the recipe as given and it came out very disappointing. Maybe my ribs were not the right kind but there was no flavor. After the glowing reviews I was looking forward to a great meal. I actually threw out the leftovers, and I NEVER do that. Mot of Melissa's recipes are GREAT - Now this one.

This is a FANTASTIC recipe! I made it just as written and it was awesome. My 9-year old loved it as did my husband. This will definitely be a regular in our house be it for family or guests. The only problem I'll have is buying enough ribs for everyone to get all they want!

This was a wonderful & so tastey dish. The flavors in the sauce were so great. I think the pepper flakes gave it such a slightly heated flavor. I would make this for a get together or just my husband & I. Thamks!

I made this dish for my husband and other family members last night. I used the polenta recipe as well and made the onions as a side dish. It was a hit all around. I doubled the recipe so my husband and I had it again tonight and I will definitely have the left over leftovers tomorrow for lunch. The recipe was so easy and it gave me time to visit with my guests while cooking.

This recipe is PERFECT exactly as written. Make it, and you won't be disappointed - I promise! The pork ribs are so tender, and the braising gravy incredibly flavorful. As a girl of italian descent - I was a little skeptical about the polenta recipe - both the slow cooker method and the ratio...but it was creamy and delicious. This is definitely a keeper; true comfort food for these cold winter months!

This was absolutely delicious, and one of the best dishes from the food network. My husband loved it. I made it with the creamy polenta and roasted balsamic onions and all three recipes were A+. I grew up eating polenta but had never made it myself. The creamy polenta was easy to make and super tasty so I will make it again for sure. Thanks Melissa!!
