I'm not a huge fan of cornbread, but I thought this was pretty good. If you're looking for something simple to serve with a bowl of chili or beef stew, this works. It's easy to make and reasonably tasty.

I gave this five stars because there is very little sugar in it, and the bread still tastes good. The applesauce is a great idea to make the cornbread moist instead of dry like it most often is. I recommend adding more maple syrup to the butter just so the flavor comes through.

This cornbread is very different from the cornbread I grew up on but this recipe is so good. Me & my husband could not stop eating it hot out of the oven melts in your mouth. I did make a few changes instead of maple syrup I used honey because that is what I had on hand. And for the butter I used honey instead of maple syrup & lime juice instead of lime zest. The butter was okay, next time I will just make honey butter without the lime. I will be making this recipe again. Thanks for another successful recipe!!!

Yummy! Cornbread was light and fluffy - very moist. Lime/maple butter was flavorful and light. My son proclaimed this the best cornbread ever! Will definitely make this again....

This was a very moist cornbread---very good. The only adjustment I will make in the future is that I think I will increase the brown sugar by a tablespoon or two because I like sweet cornbread.

This is very easy to make! First time corn bread maker : The texture is good and I never imagine the applesauce and maple syrup can make it tasty. However, as like the other review mentioned, there is not much cornbread taste. Well, I still like it and make it again.

This was okay. Good texture, but not a spectacular flavor. It was very easy to make, and I did enjoy the maple-lime butter. It was a nice side with the Huevos Rancheros.

Just made this tonight and LOVED it! This was the first time my husband and I have had cornbread and we will definitely have this again. I made it with the maple lime butter and it was delicious. Great compliment for the spicy huevos rancheros.

Thanks for a great recipe. My kids and I love corn bread and this was so yummy and moist. I love real maple syrup, so I was excited to add it in the batter.
