AMAZING is an understatement. Double, triple the meat! Leftovers great with added BBQ sauce.
I skipped last step of frying pork. Will try next time but was perfect with out the added step.

Oh wow, this is amazing!! I didn't make the pico..we just used regular hot sauce, but the flavor of the pork is sooooooo good!! My family and I loved this and will be making it often in the future. THANKS for a great recipe! :

This is amazing. My husband wants me to use a different protein the next time I make it. This was a keeper.

UPDATE: We made the recipe using a 5 Quart slow cooker for our 3 Lb boneless pork shoulder.

This time we strained and discarded the vegetables from the cooking liquid, let the liquid cool, and then chilled it overnight in the refrigerator. In the morning we removed the hardened fat on the surface.

We then simmered the gel-like liquid until it became liquid and then added the shredded pork. We let it simmer briefly and then drained the pork thoroughly prior to crisping it. The result was more flavorful pulled pork.

I think that next time I will quarter the orange prior to adding to the slow cooker rather than leaving it halved per the recipe. I believe that by doing so it would have more contact with the liquid and transfer more flavor.

It would be nice for recipes to suggest a recommended size of cooker for those of us with several different size cookers.

This is an excellent home cooked meal for a busy night when you don't have a lot of time. It's very simple but full of lots of flavor. You can also easily personalize this. We added a little tequila to the slow cooker for added flavor. It turned out great! Enjoy!

The pork is wonderful, but even better is the pico de gallo-- I make it all the time just for a simple with-chips appetizer and it is inhaled by all who try it.

Put the pork in the crock pot for a solid 10 hours while I was at work, and came home to a delicious aroma and a great dinner! I did add some extra seasoning to the pork before letting it cook, and then again before frying it up on the stove top (cumin, chili powder, cayenne and a little extra salt. I think the extra seasoning really gave it something. I omitted the rice and served it over shredded cabbage for a slightly healthier version, but otherwise followed the directions. Delicious and easy! I will definitely make this again.

I love this dish! I have made it twice. I eat this as a bowl but my husband likes to put all of the ingredients in a flour torilla and he really enjoys it that way. YUM!!
