This was easy and tasty. Next time, however, I will add more flavoring to the meat, even though it was very good I think it could use a bit more flavor. It was very tender and would adapt easily to other dishes. I recommend this recipe for sure.

The pork smelled soooo good while in the crock pot. I think it needs something when you are frying it, though, as the flavors weren't strong once the meat was cooked. That said, the easy pico de gallo was amazing. The addition of avocado made it so awesome, it's all i want for dinner now. I hadn't thought about the fact that this was supposed to be a $10 dinner. There's no way it was..

I agree with Rebecca, this was no where near a $10 meal and I had a lot of the ingredients already. anyhow, the burrito bowl was very good the only thing is next time I'd use a different recipe for the pork, for me it was so weird not putting liquid in the slow cooker with the pork and even though I cooked it for 10 hours on low, it didn't come as tender as I expected, also, I didn't love the flavor combination of the oregano and cumin. They really need to stop saying Melissa's recipes cost $10 because IMO they do not.

I made the whole meal--pico de gallo, meat, rice, and the family LOVED it. It was not spicy at all. Next time, I will use less oil to fry the meat at the end, though. It was a bit on the greasy side. Still very, very tasty.

Awesome dish! My husband devoured it & asked me to make it again. My butcher had pork butt instead of shoulder & that was fine. I didn't use oil in the pan after shredding it, didn't need it. It crisped up just fine! If you like spicy, this was not spicy at all. I may try to leave some of the seeds in the jalapeno next time since we like it spiced. This is NOT a $10 dinner, but we don't care- it was fabulous!

This was great! Melissa makes some great dishes! I followed recipe exactly and wouldn't change it! (except, I only used a little oil in pan. I used some non stick spray to cut back on oil fat Thanks Melissa!!!!

This. Was. Amazing! I followed the recipe as written except after shredding the pork I threw it in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes to get those crispy edges (thus avoiding the added fat of the oil. I felt like I was eating at Chipotle. Thanks for sharing this one, Melissa--it's a keeper!!
