No one has noticed that her $10 meals could only possibly cost $10 if you could buy three potatoes, 4 leaves of lettuce or garlic by the teaspoon?! Thye should change the name of her show. If you are watching to save money, watch Sandra Lee.

My husband and I prefer our own homemade dressings and I have made many different variations of vinegrettes. But never thought to rub the garlic on the bowl. Great idea! Also, we prefer to use Bragg's Aminos instead of soy souce, it's less salty and healthier. We are vegan and don't eat any meat or dairy. I use substitutes for eggs and veggie oil based butter, Earth Balance, which is soooo yummy! We really appreciate your veggie recipes! Congrats on winning! I rooted for you all along. I especially love all your food tips! Anyone can say "do this, do that, and there ya go", but you take the time to explain some of the whys and how-tos, that help me to understand food and food prep better. I can take that extra knowledge and apply it to other dishes as well. Food is core to our lives and as far as I'm concerned, we can't get too much info about what we eat. Knowledge has helped us get healthier and helped me deal better with my diabetes. Wish I had known how to eat healthier years ago, I might have warded off the disease all together. I agree with so many viewers that FN has you in the wrong category. You have knowledge and ability to do so much more than a cheap meal. It's almost insulting to your abilities. They should definitely change the concept of your show. Meals Made Easy by Melissa was one great idea someone suggested. I just love how you put a rich flare on a meal and still keep the steps easy, like your 4 step chicken, though we don't eat chicken, it's always easier to remember a recipe when it's less complicated. I look forward to watching you every week and turning another meal into something fabulous!

    Hi:

Instead of my usual vinegar and oil I made your recipe and we all loved it. Congratulations on your win, first time I ever watched 'Network Star' and only kept watching it to see how you did. I was for you from the first. Good luck and hope to see you write a cookbook.

How can ratings be listed as fantastic, when this is such a basic salad that would not require a recipe.
I didnt have a favorite on the show, so this is not "sour grapes", but honestly how can this recipe be listed as 5 stars?
Melissa is going to have to make some changes, because I find her extremely hard to watch. I understand that she is new to this, but she is to the point of annoying to watch. Curiousity keeps me watching hoping she gets better.

My son, Who is picky, even loved this recipe! It is a new family favorite. I topped it with some Guyere from the Potato Torte... PERFECT compliment to the salad!
I like knowing what is in the dressing, & I only make what I need. GREAT!

HAVE TO AGREE WITH MARIANNE FROM CALIFORNIA, CANNOT BELIEVE A SALAD SHOULD GET 90 REVIEWS, THE MAJORITY BEING RAVES. I HAVE TRIED THE DRESSING ITS OKAY. ALSO I GAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW OF GLAZED CARROTS AND OF MELISSA WHICH WAS NOT PRINTED, I DONT THINK SHE'LL BE BACK NEXT SEASON UNLESS SHE CAN MAKE SOME ORIGINAL RECIPES

Melissa, this dressing is amazing. Thank you for sharing the secret ingredient with us...who would imagine that a splash of soy sauce would make such a difference! Best of luck with the show. I look forward to many more recipes from you.
