Melissa, you were my favorite from the first show.....I was so afraid the judges would not see what a winner you would be. I have already made your four-step chicken and the spinach dish. ...now a new favorite! I am a senior citizen and always glad to have fresh ideas for recipes. PLEASE ask who ever is responsible for this time slot to realize that the people in central standard time may not watch it because we are in church. Since you lived in Texas you know that 11-12 is church time for many, many cooks who would love your show. I stayed home today so I could watch it, but cannot do this on a regular basis. Sandra Lee has a Sunday and Monday time slot....Ask for a repeat of your shows at a different time also. This will add to a lot of viewers for FoodTV and YOU! Also, I did not write down the applesauce granita and the yougurt sauce recipes, so please see that these are in Food TV recipes. I will try the potato tart and salad...They look outstanding and I enjoyed watching you prepare them. I .have some new cooking tips! from your pilot and this first show. ..Never too old to learn new things!!!!!!

Well done on your first show! Excellent recipes - this one is excellent and anxious to try the tort! I think the title of the show is a bit limiting to your skills, however. Nevertheless, very happy to be learning new tips and tricks from you!

Congratulations Melissa! I rooted for you all the way and was so excited when you won. Loved your first show and will be watching or recording. The only thing I didn't liike was the name. So NOT you! Can't wait for you to show us how to make that pastry (cookie you made for the cheese dessert during the challenge. The judges were so impressed with your cooking on that episode.

In many countries dinner is lunch. So get over the name. Your meal was perfect. I just made the salad and love the dressing. Congratulations Melissa! You are a true winner.

I prepare alot of healthy salads and love getting new recipes for dressings. But this one was just plain awful. I do make one similar to this without the soy sauce. The soy sauce ruins it.

Melissa, Great job getting to the top. Can't be easy with all those little beauties at home, but I cook for my grandchildren all the time, and your recipes are great additions to my tots and their parents' repertoire! I was rooting for you all the way on the Food Network "search". Enjoy your reward. Judy

Food Networks messed up on the title of this show, Melissa has the potential to be the best Food Network Star winner, even better than Guy, and they are shooting her in the foot with this name. She does not address money and she made a lunch, not a dinner. The episode was great though, change the name! She doesn't compare to Sandra Lee in the money department, but Melissa rocks! I love her and want to see all her recipes, if she doesn't confuse people out of watching her show.

I plan to try these recipes later this week, but I'm hungry for them already. Posting just to say that I loved the show. I rooted for Melissa all the way through and I'm so happy for her...and for me because I finally have someone who cooks food I like to eat. The show is wonderful...will be watching every week! And great that Sandra's on ahead of her...an hour of great food.
