Great, great recipe. Dressing is out of this world. I missed so many episodes of Melissa, because of the airing time. Please, please bring her back soon at a better time slot.

I, too, lived in France - but, unlike Melissa, I never had the nerve to ask the recipe for this typically parisian cafe salad dressing - we had it EVERY day in the chateau where I taught English and I never asked...urghh! For the last 15 years, I have been making a dressing with EITHER the dijon OR soy sauce, red wine vinegar, garlic and oil - but the Balsamic - the BALSAMIC! is what makes this absolutely perfect! C'est Parfait! - Brilliant! I love this woman. She is such a find for Food Network - PLEASE, please, please - More Melissa! Why do we have to wait until January?! I'll be watching her online. She's amazing. And please - do not put her on Sunday right at the time football is on! We only have one TV, no DVR and I'm so sad not to be seeing Melissa on TV. I can't say enough about her. Every segment I see with her, there is more depth to be learned about her and her knowledge. Wow. Would love to get to meet her some day.

I have now made this dressing several times and each time it turns out great. It is so easy and my family loves it. I love the soy sauce, it is a brilliant addition.

Some of the things you guys were saying is really mean. Give her a chance a lot of people might not know how to make salad dressing. Shes the new food network star! Let her find her groove she will be great. Keep personal shots to yourself and think about the food. Melissa dont sweat it you will do great!!!

I was surprised at what a difference the splash of soy sauce made. I loved this vinaigrette and took a salad dressed with this to a party and everyone there also loved it. None of them could identify what was different from my usual and they were also surprised. Thanks, Melissa/

Honestly, I didn't believe Melissa when she said soy sauce was the secret ingredient that made this vinaigrette so delicious. I didn't think such a tiny bit of soy sauce could make any difference, but boy, was I wrong! This is the PERFECT vinaigrette recipe

This has become our salad dressing, and my teenagers who would never eat salad love it! Melissa, we were rooting for you all the way (didn't know you were a Texan, and we watch your show because unlike a lot of the Food Network Shows, you cook "real world" for families who have busy lifestyles and your recipes are great!!! The ingredients can be found anywhere, love the quickness, and everything is kid-friendly so ignore the critical comments and reviews from people "who have been making this for years". Who cares? Watch another show! As a working mom, I salute you and thank you for bringing my family back to the dinner table!
