This is one of my absolute favorite recipes on the foodnetwork website. Whether you serve them hot or cooled, with wheat or with white bread, they are delicious! There's really no way to mess up this recipe. The fresh chopped basil on top really tops off this dish!

These tartlets are delicious! Kids and adults love them. They are simple enough that the kids can help too. Yum!

Very Good! I chopped the tomatoes as many suggested which I agree makes them easier to eat and look even better. Looking at them, no one would believe they are so quick and easy! I made one batch and they were gone in seconds even though I forgot the finishing balsamic and olive oil. Oops! I immediately made a second batch using all ingredients... Delicious both ways!

These were amazing. I too highly suggest chopping the tomatoes...makes for a prettier presentation as well! Never thought I would get the type of reaction from my boys and husband!!! My boys actually argued who would get the last one, until the oldest snatched it!!!! So very easy to make and absolutely delicious. Will love these for Christmas with the white, red and green theme. Took no time at all and was so worth it! Have already been asked to make these for dinner tonight as well!

Va va va voom! They were awesome. I only made a few of them and wish I made more. I did them two different ways as others recommended to see which way we liked them better. After baking, I took some of them out and put in cut up tomatoes added a slice of the motz. and added fresh basil, evoo and balsamic. The others I put a whole tomato slice in added a slice of motzerella and baked a little longer then added evoo, balsamic and basil. Both ways were terrific, but it is easier to eat if the tomatoes are cut up. I'm going to make some tomorrow for my nieces brunch. Did I say how awesome they were....oh ya,I already did.

I make caprese salads all the time. This was a new and interesting twist and my family just raved. They liked the fact that the bread was not super crusty and hard bite into. I used a good amount of olive oil on inexpensive doughy bread. I did chop the tomatoes as others suggested.

So good, so easy and lots of fun! A super great side dish for a pasta, and would be a great party snack, too. They look very impressive for not much effort.

what a shame someone has to act like a Loser and be rude to the food network hostess during a review...
