And we have...3 times!! lol Absolutely wonderful. Simple, tasty and a bit elegant. I would be proud to serve these to anyone! I've shared this recipe with several people because it is just too good and easy not to share. Thanks Melissa for ANOTHER winner. We love you!!

My kids, as well as my husband and I, LOVED these! The only change I made was that I also chopped the tomatoes. I have been told that I am expected to make these weekly!

Made this entire menu one night and felt like a chef after my family wouldn't stop raving about it. The appetizer was a huge succes. Did it a little different since I didn't have fresh mozzarella or fresh basil. I chopped the tomatoes and added chopped red onion...mixed those two with the oil, balsamic vineagar and italian seasoning. I used that as my topping. Then I sprinkled with parm cheese. Slight variation so I wouldn't have to go to the store.

I also used whole wheat bread (since that's all we have on hand and it worked GREAT! What a fun and fancy looking starter!

This is great the way it is! I made this for my daughter, son and law and their friends and they loved it. The one friend made the comment "I don't even like tomatoes, but it smelled wonderful!" Well done MD.

I was planning on trying this anyways, and then I found out that my MIL was coming into town with her friends. Thankfully, she is a wonderful person, but I was still nervous. So I bravely tried all 3 dishes from Italian 101, and they all came out wonderful!

For the tartlets, I made according to the recipe, and they were perfect! I was fortunate enough to have basil in my garden. I was a little unsure about using the bread, because in the episode they came out burnt looking, but following the time in the recipe they came out more white and golden, not burnt, so they tasted fine and were a big hit. I will be making these again.

This quick little appetizer is a taste explosion and so delicious. I made this recipe along with pork cutlets and broccoli pasta last night and have been telling people how tasty the tartlets are.. Two people want the recipe! What a clever use of white bread for the crust! I had some leftover and couldn't resist having one for breakfast. Yum, yum!

I made this following the recipe for the most part...the tartlets need to bake much longer, mine were not crispy the way I would have liked. Also, putting the tomato slices on and the moz on top and under the broiler, makes them much better than leaving them cold, especially if all you have is shredded moz.. I needed to add more flavor too. Next time I will change it up completely, but I do like the idea of the rolling the white bread into cups. It's a usual M.D. recipe, good concept poor execution on her part.

Very, very good. My company loved them. I chopped up the tomatoes and added the vinegar, oil, salt and pepper - mixed it together and with a slotted spoon added it to the tarts. I thought it would be easier to eat than a slice or chunk of tomato and think it infused more of the oil and vinegar. You can do so many different variations with this recipe. Way to go, Melissa!
