Ive only made the Mayonnaise part of this recipe and for ease of technicality and taste of just that, this is a 5 star! When I saw this recipe being made on Her show, I was amazed and had to replay that part on my TiVo machine, (I season pass her show, I was surprised and amazed how quickly and easily one could make Mayonnaise! She just did it like it was nothing difficult. I tried it in my food processor, which I used the little insert bowl mine comes with, and it whipped up just like hers! Im making mine from now on from scratch and controlling which oil I want in my Mayonnaise from now on. Thank you Melissa! Your show is a gem.

Why do people who dislike a TV personality so much, watch them and then feel the need to insult. Don't they realize how foolish they look? Talk about needing attention. If you don't like Melissa or any other personality, stop watching and leave your bitterness to yourself or better yet, take a long look at ourselves and try to figure out what is wrong with you!

This was delicious. Made it tonight. No problem finding the celery root. Got it at the Farmer's Market for $2.00.

true remoulade would include either chopped cornochons or sour gherkins, often anchovies, shallot or red onion or scallions, tarragon and possibly garlic, Just search "celery root remoulade" on this web site and you'll find many interpretations fromEmeril, Guy Fieri, Tyler Florence and Wolfgang Puck to name a few

Love the homemade mayo, great flavor. Celery root here was $3.99, not $2-3.00. Hey Food Network, what's with the (too loud Wullitzer roller-rink music?

Tried this recipe for company visiting and we all loved it. No more store bought mayo for this household! Tasty celery root, and definitely worth the extra $$$, healthy too.

It must depend on where one lives, because I can get celery root for a great price. But I live in an area where we have a fantastic selection of produce year-round. Thanks for a delicious recipe, Melissa. I love your show!

First of all, try finding celeriac (celery root in an typical supermarket produce department. And then if you do find it, usually during the Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays, it won't be for a $1.50 - $2.00 " kinda pricey" cost like Melissa suggests. It'll be in the neighborhood of $2.99 per lb, and an average sized one like Melissa used weighs close to 2 lbs. Check for yourself to see.
