My family loved these! I only gave this recipe 4 stars because I thought there was WAY TO MUCH thyme, it over powered the turnovers. Next time I will reduce the amount to 1/2 a teaspoon and then this recipe will be on my regular rotation when I have leftover chicken meat. I followed the recipe exactly as written and had enough filling to make 8 turnovers.

Great presentation, and fabulous flavor. I used leftover turkey I had roasted, and added extra gravy. Hubby was thrilled.

I made these for the second time tonight! They are just perfect and pretty easy. Great to make filling ahead and fill the pastries when my company comes in the door. I have also used this idea for Philly cheesesteak turnovers, wow, were they a hit! To anyone complaining of soupy mixture... Did you use the flour? This is a classic pan gravey, mine comes out fine per the recipe each time. Thanks Melissa!

Followed recipe and turned out terrific. Added to favorites and will now keep puff pastry on hand cause they were SO easy to make... they looked good, were tasty and texture was perfect for filling. Only thing I added was Mrs Dash Original Blend seasoning and only 1-tsp of thyme.

I used the puff pastry on the bottom and top of a casserole dish rather than individual turnovers and it was amazing.

Use your leftover turkey from Thanksgiving or Christmas for a wonderful, easy pot pie treat.

I used dry vermouth for the wine and added in some cooked butternut squash for a little extra color and flavor.
