This was just ok for me, and definately not worth all the extra effort. Cabbage was way too overdone by carmalizing it. I really prefer the one-pot method, cooking the cabbage for 10-15 minutes then removing from the rest of the veggies and drizzling with melted butter. The taste is just as good or better and the cabbage still has some bite to it. I didn't feel the beer brought much if anything to the party either. I was very disappointed and too tired to wash all the extra dishes and pans. Don't bother.

My family adored this recipe! I added 1 extra cup of beef stock in place of the beer. It was by far the best corned beef that we've ever had. Thank you.

My wife made this according to recipe and hit it out of the park. Great recipe, better than what you will find at most pubs and restaurants!

Outstanding! Perfectly salty and delicious! You can taste the beer in the background which gives this dish an extra special, unique flare. Truly can't go wrong! YUM!

Loved the outcome but the steps getting to the end result was a pain. Cooking, adding, cutting, saute, removing, cutting saute, then eat. I did not use any beer & it still was good.

Amazing. We cooked the corned beef for 3 hours and used 2 cups of beef broth. I also put heirloom carrots and colored potatoes from the farmers market. Best corned beef ever!!!

This was great and I made it for a group of 11 on St. Patrick's Day. My husband said it was the best corned beef he ever had. The cabbage was a hit too. Frying it with the onions just added so much flavor. Will keep this recipe! Thanks.

This was the best corned beef and cabbage that i've made- granted, I've only made it 3 or 4 times, but this was delicious.
