I usually make polenta the way my nonna does, with the stock. never tried it with the cream as we are from Milano. and this is more a piedimonte type recipe and I LOVED it!!! i added a little asiago and taleggio cheeses because I love it with cheese and the crockpot idea? pure genius! your recipes are elegant, easy and down to earth! keep up the good work!

This recipe is perfection if you truly love 'creamy' polenta. As with any recipe it leaves room for your added touches, but as a base it is wonderful. Love it's texture, simple flavor and it's potential to adapt it to my every day taste buds!

This recipe was easy and is better and a lot less expensive than the rolls of premade polenta you can get in the stores. After I tried this recipe, I noticed my slow cooker cookbook has a recipe for the same thing (it called it corn mash that did not require starting on the stove and dirtying an extra pot. I will have to try just going straight into the slow cooker next time to see if the extra step is worth the effort.

Hands down the best polenta I've made at home. Taste as good as a restaurant's version. I'm making it for the second time today for a special valentines day dinner. This receipe is a keeper. Thank you Melissa!

This was my first try at Polenta. It was so easy and my family loves it. It will go into my "do again" file. Thanks. I love your show and try all of your recipes.

I'm a HUGE Polenta fan. As with Melissa, I always order it when I see it on the Menu. I've tried numerous recipes, and gone through the constant stove tending processes, and still not come out with Great Polenta. This recipe is a Miracle! Just a few minutes of effort, resulting in the BEST Polenta, I've ever made at home. It also rivals ANY Polenta I've had out. I've already made it twice. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!

Polenta was new for me, but since I was making the country braised pork, I thought I'd give it a try. Both were done at the same time. EASY and delicious! I doubled the recipe and will be making it again. The family loved it and I love rolling out something new that came out perfectly and was a big hit. Thanks Melissa.

We loved this recipe. Using the slow cooker was very convenient and also made it easier for it to come together at the same time as the pork chops. This polenta was so yummy that we decided to use it regularly as a supstitute for potatoes or rice. The only problem we had at all was that we thought the recipe was not big enough for 4 people and the two of us split it and had a generous portion...and wanted more! Thank you, Melissa. We love your show and this recipe is a real winner. As we call it, "a real keeper!"
