Excellent basic recipe lending itself to many variations! I was SO SURPRISED at how tasty and crunchy they turned out to be.

These were super easy and super delicious! Make sure you toss them around a few times while baking to ensure each piece crisps up! Also, I baked them for a total of about 30 minutes. I also sprinkled some red pepper flakes on top before baking. A great and healthy snack when you want something salty and crunchy!

My new found "go-to" snack! This was really easy, but I did have a few pieces that didn't get crispy. I will bake about 5 minutes longer next time. I used Truffle Olive Oil, and it was delicious!

Healthier than potato chips. Had to put in for total of 30 minutes at 275 degrees. Sprinkled with sea salt. But still not a potato chip :( Took them to a foodie fest and foodies LOVED them. Wouldn't pay $7 for a teeny-tiny bag from Whole Foods when it is so easy to make at home. The hardest part was growing the kale : I used mesh screens instead of cookie sheets so they would crisp up quicker. Would definitely make again :

If you only eat kale in recipes where you can hide it (casseroles, soup, etc. & you're looking for a kale-straight-up recipe, this is as tasty as it gets... LOVE a generous serving of salt sprinkled on. But don't be fooled into thinking they will replace potato chips... sure, they're a healthy version of chips, but they're not anywhere NEAR the same thing as potato chips... they're yummy & full of vitamins/nutrients, but if you're craving chips, eat 10 potato chips & then fill up on this kale.

The recipe in itself was good, not great. Some of the kale got overdone & bitter, some was still squishy, the pieces really cooked down to nothing. A couple things I changed to make my next batch better:
1. DO NOT WASH KALE (unless it really is dirty. Most of the time pulling the stem off got rid of any dirt. Plus, your oven is going to off kill any bacteria, so don't freak. This is going to keep allow your kale to get crispy.
2. Reduce oven heat to 200 F, and cook the kale lower and longer. Keeps the bitterness down and allows any moisture to evaporate.
3. Sprinkle a tiny tiny bit (not even 1/2 tsp of cane sugar over the kale right before you put it in the oven. This will counteract the bitterness.
Taking these, or even any one of these things into account will make this recipe shine!

Love these and I make them all the time. Brought some into work and got the whole office hooked on them. Have since tried them with sesame oil using a combination of both dark and chili sesame oil and the crispy Kale chips are even better.

They are so good! Just what I needed for my new "lifestyle of eating"! Loved my potato chips in the past....these definitely fill the void! Thank you!
