I'm sorry but I could not stand the smell when the kale was cooking nor could I stand the texture of it after it became "chips". No one in my family liked it either. I think you have to like broccoli to like it at all. My husband who likes broccoli said it was "O.K" but he wouldn't want me to make it again.

Wow !!! Never had kale before, but woman in my WW meeting kept raving about kale... so I made this recipe.... note, I didn't use a lot of kale, so only baked mine for 14 minutes.. followed the comments about sparingly using the sea salt and added some garlic powder, and plus I massage a little oil on my fingers to each of the pieces..... this was very good !!!! thanks!

These turned out great! I played around with it a little with different sauces. We used tahini, sriracha and different herbs and spices. I will try them in the dehydrator this week to see if they store in a mason jar for any period of time. I'd love to make this ahead of time for snacks throughout the week. Thanks!!

First attempt at kale chips and it worked great, thank you for this recipe! I misread the recipe and had it in the oven for 20 minutes at 225, but they still turned out crispy so maybe that'll work fine next time too. Do take the time to massage the leaves with olive oil--it makes for another dish to wash but it helped to use a big mixing bowl. I made the mistake of over-salting, so I suggest to go easier on the salt since the leaves shrink so much. I didn't even have to turn the kale midway, very easy! I wish there was a way to save these for later though, only because they're so good.

To those who are unsure of trying it...the kale is a bit bitter so it may not work for every palate. It's really the texture that makes these so addicting though.

This was my first attempt at making Kale chips and they were terrific!! I did use an oil mister to apply my EVOO. On the second batch I added a little garlic powder to the mix also. Delicious! I look forward to experimenting with different seasonings on these! I will say that they don't store very well. They were fantastic when I tried them right after making them yesterday but after storing them overnight and bringing them to work today, not crispy at all.

I need a snack food to replace chips and this is it. I don't even like kale - my husbands says it's just a decoration - not so these were great.

I liked it. But the kids did not and even though the other guests said it was good there was a lot left over after the party. I will eat the rest as a healthy snack but will not share it again.

These are amazing. It only took 10-12 mins to cook them in my oven and they were perfect. Don't over salt them and use just enough oil to coat the kale to keep them healthier. I love these!!!

Delicious. A few things to think about: 1 they shrink a LOT so err on the side of large pieces 2 don't use excessive amounts of oil but do make sure to coat the leaves evenly - massage each piece or use a sprayer 3 watch them carefully so you don't burn them. In my oven I cook them for only 10-12 minutes and they are done.
