I lay the chips on the baking sheet and use an oil mister so less oil is used, then light salt sprinkle.10 minutes on one side, followed by 5 min on the other side and they are perfect.

Everything turned out fine ... light, crispy and AWFUL. Must be an acquired taste, but in my humble opinion you could make some Crispy Shredded Newspaper Chips that would likely taste a lot better than these.

I made these last night and everyone loved them. So much i made a second batch today. My 6 year old and 4 year old loved them. It takes me about 15-17 minutes in my oven as well. I will b making these again very soon.

Amazing! These take about 17 min. total in my oven. We like to season them LIGHTLY with salt, paprika, and garlic powder. Make sure you heed the warnings of LIGHTLY salting, and using only about 1-1.5 TBSP of olive oil. I too mix the kale with the oil and flavorings in a mixing bowl, and then put them on the cookie sheet. We cannot get enough of these!! :

I have never had kale before a week ago. I loved it, my husband didn't. I had some leftover, and wanted to try these chips. I made two cookie sheets full and ate one all by myself. I loved them! I am secretly hoping that my husband still doesn't like them so that I can have them all to myself! This was very easy and delicious, and I will be making them again.

Delicious. The most vegetables I have ever seen my husband eat in one sitting. Important things: 1don't overcrowd the pan or it will steam them - they won't get crispy. 2remember, they shrink a LOT 3salty VERY lightly. It only took me about 10-15 min to bake them but i tore the kale into pretty small pieces.

So good! I have made kale chips without any recipes before and always end up burning them. Thanks to some other reader's tips, I realized I need to really make sure the leaves are coated with oil and left the salt until after. Roasting and drying out the chips at a lower temperature was the trick! No more burnt chips! I love salt and sweet so I added a sprinkling of sugar after the salt. Very tasty!

I didn't expect to LOVE these as much as I do! Even my 17 year old gobbled them up! I put the cut kale on a baking sheet with the oil and then tossed it with my hands really well. After spreading them out, I sprinkled with salt and baked as directed. So good I made a second batch right away!

I already knew I liked kale chips and I finally made my own with this recipe to have on hand. I maybe got 2 before my husband and kids devoured the whole batch. So versatile that you can top with anything that is to your preference. Mine have taken at least 20 minutes to get crisp as well. I do agree with a previous poster that every batch is a little different but always yummy.
