I grew up in the west and had quesadillas at the same type of mexican restuarant she talks about in the episode. Once you eat it you'll never want the closed mushy quesadilla again. They are awesome!

It is apparent that you do not care for $10.00 dinners. Please stop watching it and posting horrible comments. The rest of us enjoy the show. Have you thought about anger management?

There are some folks out there that are rating Melissa's recipes without trying them.

I too, saw that reviews are up before the recipe has even shown on the air.

I am watching her do this recipe now.

I will try this, sounds like one I make but I never used sour cream with it, and it sounds great. I love easy foods, I like the idea of an open face one. Will save me some calories. Use good quality cheese and sour cream, and don't sqeeze the death out of the lime and it won't be runny. Receipes are for you to add your own touches to. I like Melissa's cooking show. Nice to see a new face. You can never have enough cooks.

I became very suspicious on your comments when I read them for this episode. Your comments stood out because you rated for the 3 recipes out of 4 and you were the only reviewer so far. You all rated one star and left nasty comments. I don't usually care for those comments, but since I was curious to see your intention, I checked Melissa's other recipes and found that you rated a lot on her recipes and all of them I saw were rated one star with nasty comments. If I didn't like several recipes on a chef or FN star, I would stop trying his or her recipe because it simply doesn't work for me. I don't know your intention, but if you just want to hurt her reputation for some reasons, you better stop doing that because your nasty comments might stop others trying Melissa's recipe.

When was this recipe posted? Has the show even been on the air? How can you review a recipe that you obviously haven't even tried?????? Food network, please monitor these reviews. Some people really need to get a life.

Yawn! The flavored sour cream is too limey, and gritty from the cumin, and runny, so it runs off the cheese that melts flat on the tortilla's in the oven. It has virtually no texture or excitement. I'd forget using the black beans as hummus and add those, along with some chicken, tomatoes and onion to make a decent quesadilla. Also, cutting 2 tortillas into 16 pieces, as suggested, is just silly. Just give your 4 guests 1/2 of one. Come on Melissa, this is not great food.
