What about a well-rounded meal? Do any of you only eat the main course? This is another greasy version of cooking. If you didn't have a coronary after the potato pie, try again. Have the ambulance on speed dial. Why does she use so much sugar? The orange concentrate is all sugar and then the honey? When she served up the plate, there wasn't much sauce left for her "supposed three friends".

Melissa-I am sooo glad you were selected as the Next Food Network Star & really hope your show continues beyond the 6! You are so engaging AND your recipes are sooo incredibly easy AND delicious!!!
You represent all of us "non-chefs" who have been creating delicious meals & desserts for family and friends for years!! We give a new twist to "being creative" in the kitchen!!!

Can you say a "Blonde Version of Rachael Ray"...What a gem Melissa is! She has so much USEFUL information, tips and easy recipes...PLEASE DO A COOKBOOK, I will pay in advance! Rachael Ray has changed the way I cook and taught me so much, I watched her from the very beginning. I never thought there was another "simple genius" out there! Don't let her get away Food Network!

Couple of things I noticed..She doesnt wash her hands between handling chicken etc. And she touches her hair while cooking. These are things that are hard to watch.

I love orange anything and this was so easy to make and delicious with so much flavor. I even drank orange coffee. You were the topic of discussion at our teacher's workshop last week. We all love your recipes and about 10 of us made your Potato Tort. I'm trying the meatballs next. See you tomorrow, make something I can cook next week. Hope you stay on Food Network for a long time.
The teachers in Georgia are cheering you on.

Melissa, i've loved you since the first episode of Next Food Network Star. I tried to recreate several of your dishes without a recipe. This is much easier, and with consistent results. Loved it, as I have all your recipes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another great and simple recipe, thanks! Melissa, I don't know if you're reading these reviews but I rooted for you since the beginning of the show, especially after getting dissed by some of the other contestants. Good luck, you're a lovely person and I see your integrity and warmth shining through. :-

So far I have made five of her dishes. They were all great. The chicken a'lorange was very good. But I wanted more sauce so I doubled that.
The Creamy Potato Gratin in her demo was amazing. My husband and I have been saying, "Wow, that was really good" all night.
