This was very good. Made a few minor changes - didn't use the egg white, used a bit of fat free canned milk in the egg mixture instead. Cooked in a non-stick pan so intead of all the oil and butter I used just a few tsp butter alone and it worked fine. Instead of the powdered sugar I made an orange maple syrup to go over it - equal parts maple syrup, orange juice and orange marmalade - add to the hot pan after the toast comes out and heat until bubbling and thick.

This dish was excellent, it was wonderful to get so many healthy ingredients into one dish and no one complained! For my picky sister who doesnt eat cream cheese, I substituted peanut butter! My 3 year old loved it, which was great because she doesn't eat anything right now other than spaghetti or sugar... great job Melissa! Keep them coming! This will be a staple in our house from now on!

I made this recipe this morning, using 100% Blueberry spread rather than orange marmalade, and we used Life cereal. This was AMAZING, and the whole family was able to help! I thought it tasted a bit like a filled doughnut, but without all the sugar. We will definitely be making this one again!

I hated making french toast because it gets soggy and I never liked whole grains. I made this one for my husband and myself, we couldn't even tell the amount of whole grains in it. It was delicious and packed with flavor. We experimented with other cereals and it worked, too. Use the ones in your pantry, as Melissa says.
