These are fabulous!! Sometimes people confuse baking POWDER with baking SODA, so I think Elise from NY probably used soda which would make them flat. Try them again, Elise, & I know you'll love them!

My husband always eats 1/2 a pkg of saltines with salads & some meals. No Longer!!!! I dropped my biscuits by rounded teaspoons, instead of tablespoons. They were fantastic! I continually use this recipe, and so does one of our neighbors, since he ate one, too! Definitely s KEEPER ! I am a grandmother, however Melissa is 'A TOP OF THE LINE CHEF!"

When I read the recipe I was concerned that the green onion would be overpowering but they blended nicely in the food processor. These biscuits were very easy to make and delicious. I will definately make them again.

The biscuits were very easy....I was out of bread for my morning breakfast and I happened to tune in to Melissa's show(love her easy recipes. I didn't have whole wheat flour so I used APF and just made simple biscuits and they were really good.
The cooks that complained must be new cooks, if you know anything about baking you will know when enough liquid has been added and the biscuits willl not be dry, so keep trying new cooks until you get the hang of it. I have been baking for 79 years and I finally have the hang of it!!.

Drop biscuits are so much easier because you don't have to knead and roll out the dough. Some reviews were saying too dry. A lot of times I will sift my flour before measuring. Your flour may have been sitting along time and settling. I use a recipe similar to teach middle schoolers to cook. However, I tell them not to use their finger for dropping the biscuits, use a second spoon. Kids have a tendency to lick their fingers when there is dough on them!! haha

Thanks, Melissa, for a new "go to" bread exchange recipe. These prep and cook quickly, so I can make them on a whim. I served them for dinner with a light Italian soup, and they were a hit. I worried that the green onions might taste too strong, but all the ingredients worked together with pizzaz. Delicious!

I appreciate that Melissa used half whole wheat and half white flour. I prefer that combination in homemade breads or biscuits. Healthier. More flavorful.

Melissa, you're a great addition to the Food Network stars.

I have been making these biscuits ever since the episode aired (with all purpose flour no wheat and we still love them. They are so quick and easy, I have to watch it or I will eat them all! If your dough looks dry just add a bit more milk.

I had to make this twice. Somehow the first time I made them, they did come out like rocks which amused my family to no end. The second time, they were delicious and everyone was helping themselves to seconds. Love it!
