Like many of the previous reviewers, I'd never had falafel before either. It was an easy recipe to make - I really liked the flavors very much. I could have eaten all of them in one sitting, but held back!! This recipe is a keeper!

I should probably preface my review by saying that I had never tried falafel before making these, so I'm not really sure what falafel are traditionally supposed to taste like. However, I thought these were quite delicious. I did not make the white bean yogurt sauce, and I wish I had. I made a tzatziki sauce, and while it was ok, it didn't really go amazingly with the falafel. The reviewer who said this was the most difficult thing they'd ever made must be crazy - I thought it was really easy, even though it did take a little time. I also wish I'd served it more platter-style like Melissa did on the show, instead of making pita sandwiches out of it. I'll definitely be making these again, and giving the sauce a try too.

I loved this recipe!!! I have a house full of picky eaters and everyone loved these falafels. My daughter doesn't like spicy food, which I don't think this is, but the next time I make this I will just cut back on the cayenne. Overall, very easy to make and will be a staple in our house.

I loved loved loved these! I also baked the falafel as suggested by a previous post, turned out great. My kids (2 and 4 loved the size and ate a couple up. I made some whole wheat pitas and tzatziki to go with them. Great as leftovers too. To keep the size uniform I scooped my "dough" with a cookie scoop and it was so easy. Thanks Melissa, keep the recipes coming!

Super easy to make and SUPER yummy! It doesn't explain how to cook the chickpeas so I just heated them up to a boil in a sauce pan with a pinch of salt, cooled and then drained for the recipe. I have made falafels from mixes before and have always been very disappointed. This was really good and made many falafels about the size of a flat meatball. I served this on top of my own greek salad and with Emril Lagasse's Cucumber-yogurt dressing. My picky 8 yr old even loved it too.

Never made falafels' but saw this show and they looked relatively easy so decided to give them a try. Followed the recipe exactly except left out the cilantro and just added a bit more parsley, don't care for cliantro too much. They were really easy to make and the whole family enjoyed them. The White Bean Yogurt sauce is a must when making this dish! It was nice to have some falafels to go with the white bean yogurt sauce. I will be making the sauce again and again and just use it to dip pita chips in. Overall I recommend giving this a try.

I've never made falafel before and caught this show late one night so tried it out. I did some research on other falafel recipes as well because I'm one of those people that cilantro just doesn't fare well with, so I just omitted the fresh cilantro altogether, added about 1 tsp of nutmeg instead. I also left out 1/2 of the chick peas to mash by hand and mix in after for more texture because I have a hyper active food processor.
This was super easy to make. Process, fry, plate.
