Melissa needs some food safety classes. She took the fish from the package with her fingers and then dipped the fingers in the salt and pepper, vegetables and lemon before putting her hands in the bag of thyme contaminating the part she wasnt' using with raw fish. She rinsed her hands at the sink for butter but then wiped her fish hands in a cotton towel which she used to dry off again later.

She should have removed the fish from the package, rinsed and dried it and then handled it with TONGS! Her knife skills could use some help. She couldn't even slice the lemon evenly.

I noticed that she is wearing a maternity top. I thought she had a little tummy the last couple of weeks. Do we have a future octomom on the network?

Fish shrinks when it cooks so a 4-oz fillet will be 3 when it is cooked. I know that 3 oz of fish and some rice and shredded vegetables would not satisfy me and my husband would need two or three. Same with the dessert. She removed the crusts off of six slices of thin, white bread for four desserts??? She really serves stingy portions. A dollop of whip cream is certainly stingy.

Picture any of the other food cooks saying in a whiny voice that they can make the dinner for TEN BUCKS! It shows her lack of class and breeding. Bucks is not a word but a slang word.

I have been watching Melissa since she won the Next Food Network challenge. She does a GREAT job! Someone was complaining that you can't make her meals for $10. You have to consider that you buy a lot of the ingredients on sale or you already have them on hand and when you divide the cost of these items into several dishes...yes, your meals ARE under $10...do the math! I have tried many of her recipes and they are all fantastic! I can't wait to try this fish recipe. I find Melissa just an entertaining and informative as any of the other chefs on the Foot Network channel. Keep up the GREAT work Melissa...I don't miss an episode!

But 6 dollars for the entire entree? The pound of sole called for is at least $6.99-$8.99 per lb all by itself. Even using the suggested substitute of tilapia would cost $4 for a pound of the fish, and the produce (lemon, zucchini, 1/2 red onion, and carrot are at least $1.25, plus a bunch of thyme goes for $1.99 at my supermarket. The recipes look delicious, and the ones I've tried have been. But none have been achievable for under $15...so why not be honest and call the show Meals on a Budget or Reasonably Priced Recipes instead?
