This is the first time I ever tried popovers, I have seen them in other recepies and always thought they were too complicated for me. I watched this episode and thought "hey, I get it! it's not that hard!" so I did it just as melissa said but I added Parsley and garlic as suggested by another reader and my family LOVED them! they gobbled them all up! I made them with smothered pork chops and the pop over were perfect with the gravy!! definately going to try them again, maybe adding cheese and bacon? or chives and swiss cheese .....like melissa said "infinite possiblilities!" thank you melissa!

I have always made Martha Stewart's popovers thinking they were great. I made these tonight and they were amazing. They were gone in seconds. I promised my kids I would make more tomorrow!

Just as easy and delicious at home as on TV. Melissa, you have yet to disappoint me! I don't care about the ten dollar meal - but I have learned a LOT from you - and I'm no spring chicken! This joins your pie crust recipe as full on recipe staples in our home. I agree that this might benefit from some add-ins, but as a basic recipe it is a winner!

Mellisa, these turned out just as well as those you made on the show! Like some of the others here, the butter burned and I was worried but I made them just as you said and they are delicious and indeed foolproof. I had a slightly larger 6-muffin pan so I made 6 rather than 8 and they puffed up and got the perfect crisp.
    Keep up the good work!

I was so excited to try this simple recipe after watching Melissa's show. Two weird things happened, after I heated the pan for 5 min., I noticed the butter was burned...was that supposed to happen? Also my popovers didn't pop, I didn't peek, I swear!! They were hard on the outside but yummy inside. I had ennough batter and so I made 12 instead of 8, could that be why they didn't pop, not full enough? Will try agin b/c ingredients are always on hand, and who doesn't love warm bread??

These popovers were as easy as Melissa said they were. We didn't even use the blender; we simply whisked the batter in a small bowl. I'm sure the results were the same. The popovers came out nice and hot and very tasty. They were perfect with the soup we made for dinner that evening. I highly recommend this one for a quick popover solution. Excellent!!

I made these right after watching the show where they were made, and they are outstanding. I halved the recipe, so I ended up with 4 Texas-sized popovers. They were so good I ended up eating all four as my meal instead of the meat/veggies/salad meal I had planned. An absolutely outstanding recipe. Anyone could make these, even the cooking challenged. So simple I don't even need a recipe now.

I made these today & was surprise I could. I've only had them in restaurants & always thought it would be time consuming & difficult. U make the instructuons/tips easy. What is great about this receipe is that I already had the ingredients in my pantry. No need to buy anything extra. They tasted great, but would like to add some sweetness to them, would a 1/4 c of sugar be OK?
Melissa, I glad U became the next FNW star & I loved your show. Many of your receipes are made w/ ingredients we may already have in our pantry or easily found in any grocery store. U also added an international touch to many of your receipes because of your travels, but are accessible as well easy, inexpenses & delicious! But still don't like the title of your show. How about "From Meissa's Pantry!".
