I love Melissa's enthusiasm and appreciate her talent. These popovers were indescribably delicious. I have been searching for an easy way to make them and I feel these exceeded my expectations. Thank you, Melissa!

This is the first popover recipe I have tried and I was not disappointed. My husband and kids loved them. I made them the second time tonight and this time I brushed the tops with garlic butter as soon as they came out of the oven. Yum! I haven't had a problem with the butter burning, it just got a little brown, it didn't effect the outcome at all. I also haven't had a problem with sticking. They popped right out of my muffin tins and they are not non-stick. I would suggest trying an oven thermometer to make sure your oven is at the right temp. Also make sure you are using real butter, not vegetable spread.

These were a big disappointment. I followed the recipe exactly, but as others noted, had problems with the butter burning in the muffin pan when I put it in the oven to warm. Had to wipe out butter and start over. The popovers did not rise very well, so perhaps the pan wasn't hot enough after reapplying the butter. The tops browned very early, so I ended up with lopsided, not completely risen, too browned on top popovers. Plus, we thought they were a bit too salty. My family is usually forgiving and willing to give something new a second try with modifications, but not this recipe. We've tried several other recipes from Melissa with great success and delicious results, so this was a disappointment.

The flavor and texture of these pop-overs was excellent, but they stuck to my buttered non-stick muffin pan terribly.

You can avoid the "burned butter" in the muffin pan by using clarified butter.

First let me say the preheating of the pan did not go so well. The butter burnt and then I had to restart. After restarting the rolls looked so promising as I had my oven light on and checked on them that way. However, when they came out the texture and the taste were less than to be desired. We ended up throwing them away and buying rolls. Thankfully it was not an expensive mix.

This was my first time to make popovers. These were so easy and tasted great! My family loved them. The only problem I had was that my butter burned in the muffin pan while heating in the oven so I cleaned the pan and put melted butter in the muffin cups and this worked fine.

These were wonderful popovers. They popped over like French chef's hats. I have made hundreds of batches of popovers and these were by far the best.

One question: preheating muffin pans lined with melted butter at 400 degrees for 5 minutes creates burned butter and smoke. I did not see the smoke on the TV show where Melissa demonstrated it. How do I eliminate the smoke?
