Very good! I threw in red pepper flakes in the last 10 min of the garlic cooking. I strained my oil, like another reviewer did, because the garlic did look burnt. I was a little afraid of what that would taste like. But it was just enough garlic flavor. I also added oregano, shredded chicken & only had dried basil. I think fresh basil is definitely key in this dish. Overall, a very yummy spaghetti!!

One word comes to mind- silky. Yes, it's a tiny bit oily, but I haven't added the pasta yet so I think it will be perfect. The sauce itself is very garlicky, in a nutty, sweet way and the consistency is wonderful. I did make a few alterations based on previous reviews. I used two 14.5 oz. cans of fire-roasted tomatoes, added oregano and chili flakes, and reduced the butter to 4 tsp. because that's all I had at the time. I also like my sauce really thick so I added a small can of tomato paste. It is wonderful! Thanks Melissa!

I was concerned that my sauce would be bitter because my garlic was brown to the point of crispy looking. I used a small pot as recommended, so the garlic did not dry out. All I can say is "YUM". I did not have any basil or cheese but was dying to make it after watching the episode this morning. I can only imagine it will taste that much better w/ the basil and cheese. I will find out when I make it again this weekend!

I cooked the garlic spaghetti today and it was smash hit. My family loved it. I knew I would love it. I love garlic. I didn't tell my family that it had 9 cloves of garlic. They absolutely loved it. Thanks Mellissa. Ps I used a 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes.

LOVED this recipe. Easy as it looks and sounds, it's equally delicious. As I was watching Ms. D'A make it on her show, I wondered how something so simple could be all she said it was. But she was right, it's easy, almost simplistic, but my husband and I had it for dinner, along with my home made sausage patties on the side a big salad and hubby's favorite garlic bread.
I'll make it over and over....added bonus > the house smelles scrumptious as it's being prepared. Don't wait! Make it...........tonight! I'm going to...

This was a big hit! Will definitely make it again, although my family is concerned about reeking of garlic!! I used a 28 oz. can of tomatoes and only 4 Tabl. of butter - this recipe is a keeper!

This was awesome!! For those that think there is too much butter or olive oil, break it down by serving and it is OK. Been following a real/whole food way of eating and this definately is a hit that I will continue to make. No changes to the recipe, made as is with 100% imported organic tomatoes and organic wheat pasta. Yummm
