I adjusted only by adding the garlic oil to taste. I think i ended up with 1/3 cup in sauce

I have been looking for a recipe like this and when I saw your show, I was so excited! My family and I love it! My kids request this once a week now. I'm so happy I no longer have to spend $18.99 at our local italian restaurant. I use a large can (28oz of crushed tomatoes, same amount of butter/olive oil, 15 cloves of garlic, 2 lbs spaghetti noodles. Like I said, my family loves it so I have to make a lot!

I loved it! I love garlic so this was perfect. It was a little bit oily but is a nice change compared to canned sauce. I used a large can of crushed tomatoes and that helped a lot!

I love it! I have already made it twice. Did add some sugar to balance the acid or sour flavor of the canned tomatoes. I used a large can of crushed tomatoes as well and a bit less of olive oil and butter. The second time I added some shredded roasted chicken, it was delicioso!

This recipe had a delicious flavor. Reading other reviews regarding the excess oil in the dish, I used 1/2 of the garlic sauteed in oil and saved the rest for garlic bread. I also used a 28 oz can of stewed tomatoes, processed in my food processor, instead of the 15 oz size can. I added a tablespoon of dried oregano and simmered all. This recipe was so delicious. However, the next day I brushed my teeth, gums, tongue, flossed and rinsed with scope and was immediately told my breath smelled of garlic, for two days!! As a dental hygienist I must file this recipe in the "so sorry, I can't make this again" file. That is why I gave it 3 stars. For flavor, it gets 5 stars if you follow my recipe tweeks.

Delicious! I added spinach and shrimp to mine and it was very good. The sauce is a bit oily but very tasty and I would definitely make it again, The basil on top at the end makes a big difference.

I made the sauce using 2 cans of fire roasted tomatoes, 2 Tbsp. sugar, crushed red pepper flakes, a handful of raw shrimp and let the basil steep in the sauce for a few minutes before mixing in the pasta. IT WAS SOOO GOOD!!! No, you can't eat this decadent sauce every day, but if you're looking for a really good pasta dish without the expensive Italian restaurant prices, this is it. My 3 kids and husband LOVED it!

Dissappointing. It was too oily and not enough flavor. It has potential but needs more to take it up a notch. I'll give this another whirl since it was really easy and economical to make, but next time I'll add in red pepper flakes and perhaps try the fire roasted tomatoes like other reviewers used to kick up the flavor.
