I have found myself unemployed and pretty much intimidated in the kitchen. This recipe was easy to follow, gave me the opportunity to use some new ingredients, and helped to create the perfect accompaniment to a great meal. I think the whole point of the show, is not necessarily to show NEW recipes, but to keep the combination of recipes under $10! I can't thank you enough. Looking forward to the next show.

I thought this recipe was a hit! More importantly, my kids loved it. I think next time I'll cut down on the liquid by about half. It took too long to reduce. I left out the cumin since it's a little too strong for my liking. Otherwise it was fantastic. Way to go, Melissa!

I loved these carrots. I thought they went really well with the rest of the north African meal. I would like to try these with a little mint as the garnish instead of parsley.

If you don't use a skillet that can accomodate the amount of carrots you using you will NOT get that "glaze".

I made these tonight for dinner and at first it just wasn't happening. I didn't have the carotts in a large enough skillet. Once I heated the larger skillet and emptied the carotts into this one within minutes the glaze was "thickened" and they were ready.

I like this recipe; many say it's old and not an original. So what....for some of us it is new and personally, out of all the recipes I've tried for "glazed carrots" this was the tastiest.

I'm an aspiring Family and Consumer Sciences teacher (formerly Home Economics and I'm always watching the FN to get insight to some new recipes and styles of cooking. I tried this recipe for the first time tonight with much success and I'm keeping it tucked away in my 'To Teach' recipe book!

We tried this while I had a hard time with the glaze, they still came out great. My husband loved them. we watch the food channel all the time, and cook a lot of the recipes, and this was right up there.

I have now prepared Melissa's Lemon Chicken, the African Meatballs, Potato dish (individual's made in a muffin pan and the Glazed Carots. Each dish was fantastic, very tasty and easy. I look forward to trying all of her recipes.

I do want to comment on the person named Gabby. Apparently she can not cook.

    Great work Melissa!

I found it to be a new twist on the normal carrot. Even if you are not a cumin lover, try it. I think you will be surpised. We loved it. I cooked 1 pound of carrots and wished I had made 2!! Can't wait to cook it for the holiday's. As Melissa said, these recipes come from "others" ( Africa so of course someone else may have printed these elsewhere. Who cares? Give her a chance. Do you remember how nervous Giada was the first year???

Not sure what happened because I followed the recipe exactly, but I had no glaze what so ever. The carrots were still tasty but definitely not glazed. I did enjoy watching Melissa on her new show.

My family hates cooked carrots. It is raw carrots with ranch dressing, or no carrots. When she started them, we all love brown sugar, nothing new, but when I saw the cumin go in, I thought I had to try it. Melissa had already said she picked it up from eating the carrots in Tunisia, so I knew they would be a little different than the sweet glazes we're used to. Tried it, and LOVED it. I tried it the second time with vegetable broth for the vegetarians in our family, and it was even better. Can't wait for more!
