I had a pound of carrots, not a lot of time and needed a recipe. This fit the bill. I never would have thought of cumin with carrots. It didn't take over the flavor but enhanced it. It was super-easy, quick and my husband & I just loved them. This carrot recipe will find it's way onto my table again and again.

Congratulations to everyone who knows how to make carrots. Being a new cook, I didn't really know how to make carrots taste good. I've tried making glazed carrots, but I couldn't figure it out. This recipe is a great one to add to my repertoire and I am so glad that someone could finally show me. I thought these carrots were DELICIOUS.

Thanks Melissa for this simple carrot recipe. A great way to teach children to enjoy carrots. My husband and I also enjoyed this food.
So glad you won! Good Luck! I'll be watching.

I did not have any lemons, but went ahead and made it without the lemon juice. My dad and I really chowed down on these carrots. I tried a Martha Stewart recipe for glazed carrots last fall and did not care too much for them. These were simple and tasty. Keep it up Melissa!

Yes, there are many recipes for glazed carrots. It's all about your added touches to the recipe. If viewers think that all recipes are "original", then why is Paula Deen's "Olivia's Buttermilk Pie" literally the same as the "Impossible Buttermilk Pie" recipe I saved from a Bisquick ad in a magazine probably 20 years ago. The ingredients ar the same...the only differnce is that she "recommends" using Bisquick rather than calling for it outright as an ingredient. I have been cooking since I was a teen (over 45 years and find Melissa's tips to be very helpful.

Another great side dish that can be used with really any meal. I loved the combination of spices and thought that it really added a great layer of flavor to the carrots. It took a bit longer for my sacue to thicken than what it said on the recipe, but other that that everything was perfect!

Good Job Melissa!! Carrot recipe was simple, had "in the pantry ingredienst" , and was delicious. To the critics who are concerned about original recipes, the older you are , the more you will find that it is pretty hard to come up with a totally new recipe. You have offered a great variety in your first shows with helpful hints and affordable menus. Thank you Melissa...you are a joy to watch!!

I have to tell you that my husband and I changed our Sunday road trip time so we could watch the show. As we watched oyu glaze the carrots it reminded us of how much my daughter loved a version of this called copper pennies. This gave it an adult twist. Please be aware that the 10.00 meal title should not stifle you, as far as your meals. We are tuning is because we found the who's going to be the the next show, and got hooked.

I actually made these carrots and they are delicious! I, too, am not a fan of cumin, so I left it out, and it was fine without it. My husband and I both loved this dish. We topped ours off with a little fresh parsley and it was perfect!
