I loved glazed carrots but always felt something was missing. With Melissa's recipe I found it, the cumin. Thanks Melissa and all of us in Kirkland are thrilled that you and your beautiful family are now members of our beautiful community.

The flavor and texture of the carrots was wonderful and went so well with the North African Meatballs and Couscous. The only problem I had was that the sauce reduced but did not glaze. It did not take away from the flavor though. Thanks again, Melissa. Keep em' coming.

For those of you who have "seen" this recipe before I would like to know where? This is a very popular carrot salad from Morocco. Did you not notice that her show was a Moroccan themed menu? It would seem appropriate to have a side dish within the same theme as I don't believe this was the main dish! There are probably many people that don't have a palate for the types of spices that North African food puts together, but this carrot recipe is definately from the region and worth it to serve with a dinner from Morocco. If you don't like Melissa fine, but if you are a cook then you should be able to whip up some couscous, kefta, zahlook, and tagines with no problem right? So watch another show!!!! By the way I can cook and her recipes came out fablous even the French themed menu!!!! Congrats and keep up the good work!

Always looking for a little something different, and I've cooked for decades and never had this exact recipe.... Thanks, Melissa. It turned out very good, and my family doesn't even like carrots! Your meatballs are next, girlfriend!!

This is only Melissa's second week and already people seem to be bashing. I thoroughly enjoyed Melissa's Moroccan Presentations today and feel like she's not only showing people the simplicity of preparing a dish but also in these economic times the cost of these dinners for under $10.00.
Giver her a chance to come up with some new recipes. I'm sure since she's a homemaker that she's going to use what has been successful and I would be doing the same.
I really enjoy watching her vitality and hope that the public will see beyond "new".
Thanks, Dena in St. Louis, MO

Melissas recipes are great, tons of flavor and easy to create. I have tried all of her recipes and are just as wonderful as they look. For those of you that read the negative all I got to say is " you can't keep everyone happy, but you can keep me happy". Keep up the good work Melissa !

I have seen similar recipes before, but so what. C'mon people give her a break..you were not on the show so don't judge. If you are angry that she won, DON'T watch the show. I wanted Jameka to win, I think that she was set-up in her last episode..I don't think you will EVER see something with celery root at TGIF's. But, I like Melissa and I support her. If you don't have anything positive to say...say nothing. PS: DON'T watch...problem solved.

The carrots were really just average. Some foods such as carrots require less ingredients rather than more. This show needs to change its title. You cannot make this meal for $10 and I know some will say if you had just the amount of each ingredient you use, it will be only $10. For really good ingredients, we are talking much more than $10. I would recommend starting will all of the ingredients required for the show, which again adding the purchase price of everything will greatly exceed $10, and then come back with the next show and give us other recipes with same ingredients. I spend $2 on parsley that will go a long way; I can freeze some chopped parsley in ice cubes and use it later. So one will have leftovers of al the ingredients, so again, let's have recipes for using the remainder so that ingredients do not go to waste. Then we might be talking $10 a meal.
