I made this tonight with my 6-year-old. My husband usually hates lemon and he prefers pasta with lots of sauce so I was worried he wouldn't like it but he said it was better than some of the dishes he has tried at Italian restaurants. My 6 year old ate a bigger portion than I did and even with the red pepper (I cut down a little, my 2 year old scarfed it down. This recipe is definitely a hit in our house and we will add it to our regular menu. Thanks Melissa! We love your show and can't wait for you to return! Love from the Mershon Family!

Excellent dinner....did not use second lemon and did not add pasta water to the skillet at the end - only the leftover marinade. Next tiime I think I will add about 1/2 cup cream before serving. SUPER DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!

I have to say, I watched this recipe with caution, a $10 dollar dinner???? After i watched it the next day i went to the store and bought everything, shrimp, pasta, broccoli , all ingredients,..(well i have parmesan at home, but i even bought a loaf of french bread....Total $11.25 (the bread was NOT part of her show, so without a doubt it was under $10. LOVED it. Can't wait to see more of these budget friendly meals :-

I'm a stay-at-home mom who loves to cook (but is very busy so I'm a big fan of Melissa's - I think she's just what the Food Network needed. I tried this recipe tonight and my husband and I really enjoyed it. He doesn't like pasta without alot of sauce so I was surprised he liked this. The only thing I would do different next time is use more shrimp stock so it makes a little bit more sauce . I served the parmesan crusted broccolli (from the same episode on the top and my husband said that it made the dish very tasty. It's not really spice but was too spice for my little ones so I just served them plain pasta with parmesan.

I loved this recipe. Very tasty and refreshing. I've never made my own seafood stock but it was easy and added that extra flavor. Also, fixed the brocolli and will have that with other meals. Very delicious on both recipes! Thanks Melissa for sharing your family recipes with us.

Melissa, you are such a joy to watch and everything you present inspires me to try it, even things I'd not typically prepare. I've loved your new show and tried several recipes - the potato torte, chicken l'orange, fennel & red cabbage slaw, and now the lemony shrimp scampi. All have been a hit! The scampi was wonderful and we loved the lemony linguinni. This was way better than the shrimp scampi we recently had at a restaurant. Continue the great show and wonderful recipes!!

I just finished making this dish for my husband and he cant stop singing my praises!!! He loved it as well as I did. Thank you Melissa. Not only was it delicious but It was also very easy to make. The only thing I will change next time is the amount of red pepper flakes I add, But other than that this dish was spot on!!! Can wait to make some more of your recipes.
