Tasty, indeed! I zested my lime then threw in the juice to the dressing. Mmm! Great salad and healthy too! Right before making it, I realized I didn't have any lentils but I had split peas. It worked our perfectly and the texture was awesome! Friends loved it! So simple to make as well! Thanks, Melissa!

I have never made Quinoa or Lentils before...and to my surprise I liked it. The dressing had a lot of flavor and my husband and I thought the quinoa and lentil mixer was a great alternative to rice.

I love her recipes and her show. I can not understand what this woman has done or said to deserve the negative/hateful comments by total strangers. Could these negative feelings be due to Melissa mirroring back to these viewers things they dislike about themselves. Live and let live, and keep those unnecessary and hurtful comments to yourself.

Love Quinoa! Love the recipe. I had different vegetables every time I make it. To Anne in Midlothian, VA--Kroger carries several types of Quinoa in the natural foods isle. The pre-rinsed version saves time.

I have made this twice, once according to the recipe & once with pinto beans instead of lentils. My family likes it both ways but prefers the pinto beans, the salad is delicious and I ended up using the whole box of quinoa, and the whole bag of pinto beans to make the salad last all week :

A big hit! I made it for my friends here at my college and they were really impressed. I served it with roasted red onions and roasted red potatoes. My friend had never had quinoa before and he found it really tasty. I thought it had great flavor, was cheap to make, and I didn't feel as guilty eating a second serving of it! Left overs were great too! A great way to satisfy veggetarians and non-veggetarians alike!

I love this recipe! Delicious, healthy, and easy. The perfect combination of grains with legumes. I didn't realize how easy it was to cook with dried lentils!
    Thanks Melissa

I love this recipe. I love the texture of the Quinoa, and it's very healthy & low calorie. I bought the Quinoa at Whole Foods for like $3.50 per pound, and a pound makes a lot of salad. I don't care much for lentils so I substituted a can of black beans instead. I also added some diced tomatoes and pine nuts for a little more substinance. But you could add almost anything & it would be good. Thanks Melissa for introducing me to my new favorite food.
