I am not a meatloaf lover to begin with, but it is one of my 14 year old sons favorites, so I make it about 3 times a year.
This meatloaf was great !!!! I am a professional caterer/baker so I do a lot of cooking. It came out moist and the sour cream gravy was the perfect compliment. I made enough for about 10 - 12 servings (leftovers...NOT ONE PIECE LEFT !!! My husband, 2 sons and myself ate the entire loaf (I only had 1 piece.
This recipe went into the recipe box and has replaced my recipe on my catering menu. ALSO: The potatoe recipe with this show was also a huge hit. We had the original recipe with the meatloaf, I kept the skins and with the leftover mashed potatoes I refilled the shells, crumbled crispy bacon, topped with leftover irish cheddar cheese, baked them to warm and melt the cheese, topped with a dollop of sour cream and sprinkled chopped green onions....served with flank steak sandwiches.....OUTSTANDING!!!

Delicious! Even my hubby, who doesn't eat meatloaf, loved this dish! So different from the traditional meatloaf slathered in ketchup. I substituted spicy brown mustard for the dijon - yum!

So delicious... had to pass around the recipe and I got so many great comments back. My boyfriend said it is a new staple for us. Only thing, didn't make the gravy as we aren't mustard people. It didn't even need it. It was so moist and soft and the bacon made it!

This has changed the way my family eats meatloaf. And the gravy is beyond words. I can't thank you enough for sharing this. I have told everyone I meet how this may be one of the best meals I've ever made.

This was sooo good!! It does'nt need any gravy, but it was tasty! I made the meatloaf in the morning, formed in the loaf pan, then I turned it out onto a lined broiler pan, sooo moist! thanks again Melissa!!

Hit a home run on this one! Moist and flavorful! I didn't have any bread crumbs so I subbed old fashion oatmeal...I really liked this one, THANK YOU!

What an easy and delicious recipe. The mustard gravy was different than what I'm used to, but it was awesome and the bacon on top with the Italian sausage in the meat mixture really amped up the usual "ho-hum" meatloaf. My husband told me that it was "Delicious!" and he is never that enthused about my cooking! He even told me he would, "totally eat this again!" :
