I was not a fan of Melissa but that has changed. This Banana Bread is absolutely delicious and will be my new favorite. I am going back to all her recipes with a new found respect and will try the ones that I feel my husband will eat as he is the pickiest eater on the planet.

The best banana bread chocolate chip recipe ever!! First time I made the recipe and the family loved it. Easy to follow recipe and instead of creaming sugar with the butter, I used a mixer to cream the sugar with chopped ripe bananas. Also used melted butter and added to the mixture along with the eggs. Provide enough moisture for the dry ingredients. Came out perfect!

I live on a tropical island so we have a LOT of bananas and this is the best recipe I have ever had. I make at least a loaf a week. Wonderful!

This was my first time making banana bread and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I followed the recipe except I used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose and used peanut butter chips instead of chocolate. I will definitely be making this again next time I have leftover bananas. It would also taste great with some walnuts.

Hi Melissa,
Love your show.. Is my favorite !! Easy recipes and normal ingredients which are great! You seem to be so sweet and so capable in the kitchen. Have learned a lot from watching you! Thanks so much!
Love the banana bread recipe.. That is so nice that it was your mom's recipe. I add walnuts to the recipe and change out the orange juice with orange zest as live in Az. and the dough seems to be too wet with the orange juice. I also have to cook it longer.. .so must be the altitude! A great recipe! Keep on with the great recipes.. I am going to try the sour cream biscuits also. Later..Judy

Heavenly. I followed the recipe and it came out nicely. There are various variations but this one sets it apart from the rest. Just that little touch of the chocolate chip sets it apart. Next time I will also add a few walnuts.
