Wonderful. I substituted lamb for the beef, deleted the red pepper flakes (tummy can't take and same for the cilantro, but used green onion instead. Family loves lamb, so we ate it up. Will certainly keep and make again. Thanks Melissa.

Amazingly delicious! I used pork steaks instead of meatballs (didn't have ground beef and seasoned it the same way the meatballs were seasoned. Vibrant flavors and beautiful depth to the dishes! I added a little fresh grated ginger (just a touch to the carrots and they almost stole the whole show. This is one of the best dinners I've ever made and look forward to making it again. Thank you, Melissa!

Made this the other night and it was excellent!!! For me it was a cleaned-out-my-fridge recipes, kudos for that : I happened to have all the ingredients (very similar with Thai cooking and it didn't take long to make, very easy for a week night meal. Did I mention it was sooooooo yummy!! My husband and daughter loved it. Thanks, Melissa!

OMG, Melissa you did it again. This is a wonderful recipe, full of great flavors. My son was a little concerned about the tomatoes, me about the olives but WOW, we weren't disappointed. My husband didn't like it but then I knew he wouldn't (I took out some meatballs before I added the sauce and just made some gravy for them as he has the palate of an 80 year old German woman who lived through the depression and only likes salt and pepper for seasoning. It's depressing for me when I make something this great and he just asks why I can't make some 'normal food'. GRRRR But I'll make this again. Oh I made it with mashed potatoes since I didn't have couscous and they worked too. Melissa, keep it up, you have yet to disappoint me.

This recipe is addictive! It doesn't take that much time to make...I do the meatballs 1st & let them set up in the fridge while I make the sauce. Have made this several times with beef & will try next with ground turkey.
I always learn something from watching Melissa's shows...& I've been cooking a very long time and consider myself an accomplished cook...but, this girl has some new tricks for me!! Also, this is great reheated the next day!

Wow! This recipe is AWESOME..I made it with ground turkey breast (it was on sale and I forgot the ginger at the grocery store - and it was still excellent! I used half a pack of Au Jus seasoning packet in the ground turkey to give it a more beef flavor. Excellent meal!

So delicious. We used 1# of beef and more dates in the couscous than the recipe called for. We will definitely be making this again!

Unbelievable in many ways. I don't like fresh ginger and don't like meat with sweet things and cinnamon, but all together the dish becomes something else entirely. Perfect with the couscous with the dates.

Very tasty. I haven't made it myself but it's been made for me a couple of times. And ended up with a lot of nice pantry items in the process.
