This was absolutely fantastic! The combination of flavors were wonderful. A must try. I used basamati rice rather than couscous and it was delicious. I liked the sauce so much - next time I may add a little more to increase the sauce. This would be a great recipe for entertaining. You can make it ahead of time and just warm up. Your guests will love the unique symphony of flavors.

Melissa's recipes are incredible and this is one of my favorites. The flavors are really surprising and it was very easy to make.

I did this a little different; I put the "sauce" in a slow cooker and added the meatballs once they were done and it was awesome I loved this meatball recipe!!!

I made this as a meatloaf with ground turkey, and it was great! I followed the recipe for meatballs and the sauce. Formed the meat mixture into a loaf, baked it for an hour, then poured the sauce that I had already prepared all over the meatloaf and into the pan. Baked it a while longer, made the couscous, Delicious!
Thanks for a great recipe, Melissa.

Good and different. My daughter did not like, but y husband and I thought it was good. I baked the meatballs just enough to get them nicely browned. The couscous was good and the glazed carrots were outstanding, but I will rate them under the appropriate place. Happy cooking! :

Everyone loved these! And when I say "everyone," I mean my 3 year old who often sits down to a meal declaring "I don't like this" before he has ever tried it, and my dad who is a very "meat and potatoes" kind of a guy, and not very adventurous when it comes to international dishes. After reminding the 3 year old (AGAIN that we can't say we don't like something before we've tried it once, he did try it and really liked it! He even said "I really like couscous!" And my dad had seconds! I do agree with some of the other reviewers, though, in that I wouldn't make it on a weeknight because of the length of time it takes to prepare. But it's a great weekend dish. Thanks, Melissa!
